FOOD and ROADS; Two photo sets from SA, now with descriptions.

ROADS

The roads in the Western Cape in general are in very good condition, and the scenery along them changes from one spectacular view to another with the fickleness usually reserved for the local weather. Check out the set and see how you can go from wine country, to snow, to desert in a matter of a hundred miles.

FOOD

South Africans like their food, especially grilled meat and veggies. This is a local street vendor favorite that consists of boerwurst (farmer's sausage), grilled onions, and a sauce of your choice. A friend of mine taught me a good trick. When trying to choose one sauce out of 10, without knowing what any of them taste like, choose the container with the least amount of sauce remaining - chances are you're getting the favorite; and as such also the most agreeable to someone with a late-night munchies, who like you, ends up at one of these vendors. Check out the national breakfast, the most average sushi in Cape Town, and other hits and misses in the set.
