Paws In the Park

The benefit of having a dog in the house is that it's pretty hard to sleep in on weekends. I say benefit because I personally like to get the most of the two days and if I sleep in too late I feel like I lost a lot of precious weekend day light hours. This weekend we headed to Paws In the Park in Canton (MI), a dog walk/fair benefiting partly the Humane Society of Huron Valley and partly a new off-leash park in Canton.

As most of these types of events go, the walk itself wasn't too substantial, but the park still has a few nice places to sit for a photo...

The booths inside varied, catering to canine fashionistas...

...as well as their simian owners.

There were performances by agility dogs set to music in which many kids of breeds participated, from large...

...to medium...

to small...

Every dog had it's own motivation. Some were more obviously driven by food than others...

Some liked to dive.

Some liked to play frisbee.

Of course most of the attendees just sat and watched...

As always, Luma made lots of friends,

and even learned a few new tricks!

Meanwhile Yuri and I got to enjoy some fresh air and load up on free samples, novelties and brochures. Morning well spent.

Ok. One more.
