Culinary Adventures - Flagelladog

I love hot dogs, and I love pasta. In fact, I frequently eat the two together as lunch and dinner. It's a bit of Russian thing, so I wasn't surprised when I found this post on English Russia describing a recent Russian internet fad of hairy hot-dogs. A brilliant and simple idea. Poke the hot-dog through with the pasta before cooking and when you're done, you get a seemingly un-natural yet extremely appetizing little meal. Of course this probably not for those easily grossed out by anything creepy or crawley. Here's my attempt at a hairy hot dog (HHD):

Raw ingredients:

I did one poking the vermicelli through laterally and one length-wise, we'll see which turns out better.

The lateral wins hands down! It's great to be able to take one bit out of the HHD and get both kosher animal byproducts AND Meijer Select Pasta! The "hair" also nicely holds ketchup and other juices and sauces you put on and around your HHD. Full flavor in every bite.
