Franz Ferdinand played in Pontiac, MI last night. It's about an hour from Saline, so definitely worth a drive. Didn't come early enough to hear Born Ruffians, but I think we only missed a couple of Franz songs. Either way they played their new singles and some more experimental synth-y stuff that almost sounded LCD Soundsystem-ish. I also liked that they took the liberty to jam a little more in their older songs, to make them more interesting. It was a very satisfying show and we even shelled out for some Franz Ferdinand coasters (cause we didn't have enough cash for the T-shirt ((wtf? who doesn't take credit?)) ).
