As a follow up to my previous post, here are the different bullet trains I will likely get to ride if we stick to the planned itinerary. The fastest train in Japan, the Nozomi express does not accept the Rail pass, so I will have to settle for the second place - Hayate. Any of these in my opinion are going to rock so much more than the NJ Transit trains of the Eastern Corridor, which ran at a racy maximum of 60 mph.
